Ringing in ears when quiet?
A person with tinnitus often hears “ringing in the ears,” but they may also hear hissing, clicking, or whistling sounds. It can be temporary, or it can be chronic and persistent. If you’re hearing things that aren’t there, periodic ringing in ears or fluttering in ear, you may have tinnitus.
There are a few things you can do to stop the ringing in your ears:
- Sound therapy
- Tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT)
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt)
